Glenda Hynes – Treasurer

1980, graduated Corner Brook Vocational School with Clerk Typist diploma; 1989, graduated Bay St George Community College with Travel Consultant diploma; worked as Travel Consultant for 17 years in both Ontario and British Columbia; worked as Youth Project Coordinator with Gros Morne Cooperating Association 2004-2005; moved to working in the Financial Industry as Office Administration Manager/Events Planner and Mortgage Broker for a group of Companies in British Columbia 2006-2010; currently works as Dental Receptionist at Norris Point Dental Clinic; Board Member of BBCHHC since 2012.

Trudy Taylor Walsh – Secretary

B.A (Hons), Masters Marine Management; Manager, National Historic Sites & Visitor Experience, Parks Canada; managed the project that resulted in the designation of the Red Bay Basque Whaling Station World Heritage Site (2013); Manager, Bonne Bay Marine Station, Memorial University; 1996-1999 Extensive work on Marine Protected Areas and Marine Conservation in the Province of NL; Publication T.C. Gary Wilton – Director / VOBB Technical Director

BSc. Biology; Graduate Diploma in Aquaculture; Manager, Cold Ocean Salmon Ltd.; Technical Director, VOBB; Member of Bonne Bay Ground Search and Rescue Committee; Member of Norris Point Town Council 2005 – 2009; Member of Norris Point Waterfront Committee 2001 – 2010; Board Member of BBCHHC since 2001.

Greg Knott – Director, Social Media

MA in Community Development (University of Victoria); Parks Canada Western Field Unit; former Manager of Revenue Development for the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador; former employment with Northeast Avalon Regional Economic Development Board, Thrive (Community Youth Network), and the Conservation Corps of Newfoundland and Labrador; has volunteered in the past for groups such as Artforce NL (Formerly, For the Love of Learning), TEDxFortTownshend, The ‘Trails, Tales, and Tunes’ Festival, Home Again Furniture Bank , and many others; Board Member of BBCHHC since 2017.

Carolyn Lavers

Graduated from MUN with a B.Sc. Worked in management with private sector; worked with the provincial government in the Dept. of Rural Development and she is a small business entrepreneur. Carolyn has served as a volunteer on several local economic development boards in her region as well as other organizations and is the former mayor of Port au Choix. She lives in the community of Port au Choix. Board Member of BBCHHC since 2018.
